The International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center, known by its Spanish acronym, CIMMYT®, is a not-for-profit agricultural research for development organization with partners in over 100 countries.

CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Procurement Assistant to work in the Procurement Unit of the Business Services Department of CIMMYT focused in Quotation Reports, ticket administrator, advising internal customers.

The position is based at CIMMYT's campus in Texcoco, State of Mexico, located 45 km northeast of Mexico City, Mexico.

Specific Duties:

• Acknowledge receipt of Purchase Requisitions and Requests for Quotation.
• Review and analyze all the Requests for Quotations and Purchase Requisitions received in procurement.
• Assign the received Requests for Quotations and/or Purchase Requisitions to the assigned buyer, depending on the Procurement Categories.
• Support internal users with topics related to Procurement.
• Manage the Purchase Requisitions in the AX Dynamics Procurement and Sourcing Module.
• Provide visibility to internal users about any Purchase Requisitions and or Purchase Orders raised.
• Update weekly the Open Purchase Requisitions and Open Requests for Quotation Reports.
• Establish an efficient communication channel with internal clients, suppliers, and partners units to ensure efficient and effective completion of the procurement process.
• Support in monthly and annual closing of purchase orders in the institutional ERP.
• Other related activities that may be assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• The selected candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Finance or Logistics.
• 2 years of experience in procurement.
• Advanced level in MS Office, specifically in Excel and Power Point.
• Intermediate level of English (written and conversational). English will be evaluated and candidate should score a minimum of B1 on CEFR.
• The selected candidate must exhibit the following competencies: Organization, Critical thinking, Teamwork, Client Orientation, Problem Solving decision making, Negotiation and Conflict resolution
