American metalworking manufacturing company seeks a Senior Buyer

?Responsibilities:

The Senior Buyer is a leader responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process in a Make-to-Order (MTO) and backlog-driven production environment within the Metal Mechanic industry. This role requires high interaction with internal and external customers, ensuring material availability aligns with dynamic production schedules. The Senior Buyer will maintain the integrity of the ERP system, drive supplier performance, and ensure alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support delivery, cost, and quality goals.

Qualifications:

? Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

? Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain within metal mechanic, aerospace, automotive, or heavy industry manufacturing.

? Proven experience in MTO or engineer-to-order (ETO) environments.

? Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and ability to use MRP modules effectively.

? Solid understanding of purchasing metrics and supply chain KPIs.

? Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.

? High accountability and ownership over procurement timelines and system accuracy.
