We are looking for a GENERAL ACCOUNTANT for our Plant in Querétaro.

Job Title: General Accountant

Reporting Manager: Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation and submission of VAT refund claims.
• Review and verify documentation required for VAT refunds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies in documentation.
• Coordinate with external parties to track and monitor the VAT refund process, including the preparation of supporting information and workpapers.
• Communicate with tax authorities and follow up on submitted VAT refund claims to ensure timely processing.
• Review invoices and vendor information to determine compliance status and verify REPSE registration with the authorities.
• Handle monthly and annual tax matters related to VAT creditable.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax rules and regulations.
• Conduct import and export compliance reviews.
• Support audits conducted by SAT.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in VAT processing, tax accounting, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of VAT regulations and tax compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, English and Spanish.
