Currently, we are looking for a Head Hostess for San Diego, California location with the following experience:
SUMMARY:
The Head Hostess, will lead the front-of-house team, managing reservations, seating, and guest flow, while ensuring exceptional customer service and a smooth, efficient dining experience.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Lead, train, and motivate the host/hostess team ensuring high standards of service and hospitality.
• Supervise and coordinate the hostess team including schedules, tasks and daily performance.
• Ensure a warm and professional welcome to all customers.
• Oversee the daily operations of the front-of-house, coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to optimize table turnover and enhance overall dining efficiency.
• Assist bussers in clearing out tables when needed
• Anticipate special customer needs (birthdays, allergies, location preferences, etc.).
• Ensure that the reception area is clean, organized and in optimal condition.
• Support in the continuous training of the hostess team in customer service and reservation systems management.
• Clearly communicate any relevant situation to the Restaurant Manager and/or floor captains.
• Insure team's personal image and presentation complies with restaurant dress code.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• High School Diploma
• Minimum 3 years of experience in as head hostess
• Knowledge of reservation systems and waiting lists
• Effective communication and conflict management.
• Leadership and team management techniques.
• Excellent service attitude.
• Empathy, proactivity, and kindness.
• Ability to organize and solve problems.
• Positive leadership and example with the team
