ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

1.     Monitor status of international freight (Door to Door (D2D), Broker Select Option (BSO) and Seamless Border Crossing (SBC)) and provide updates to internal and external customers

2.     Interact with internal and external customers in a proactive and professional manner and clearly communicate solutions that prevent future delays and fines levied against the company

3.     Prepare, evaluate, and distribute required forms and documentation pertaining to international shipments. Work with internal and external customers to comply with customs regulations and country import/export requirements. 

4.     Provide international customer support necessary to clear shipments, including functions such as guidance on documentation and answering basic questions from external/internal customers and employees

5.     Work with other FedEx operating companies to maximize business opportunities

6.     Communicate with customs brokers regarding questions on paperwork or following up on clearance delays, which will include distribution of documents electronically to appropriate U.S. customs broker or Mexico customs broker

7.     Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures 

8.     Perform other duties as required 

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Bachelor's Degree in Inter Business, Commerce or equivalent work experience plus three (3) years' experience in International Transportation, Freight Forwarding or Customs Clearance  

·       Bilingual English Spanish 

·       Strong analytical, collaboration, influencing and presentation skills 

·       Strong skills in problem identification and resolution 

·       Strong time management skills 

·       Detailed and precise with attention to detail 

·       Well-developed communication skills (verbal and written), with strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees, management and external customers

·       Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint

·       Able to work under pressure in a changing work environment

·       Ability to work variable shifts (From 10 am to 7:30 PM)
