We seek a highly experienced Senior Android Developer with expertise in Kotlin to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform using Kotlin. The Senior Android Developer will work closely with our cross-functional team of designers, project managers, and other developers to create innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients

Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience Required:
At least 2 years' experience with Android programming
Required API experience in intermediate to advanced UI, networking, multimedia
Extensive knowledge of Android's resource system and experience developing for multiple screens, form factors, and densities
Experience with RESTful web services using XML/JSON data formats
Strong proficiency in Eclipse, ADT, command-line adb tools
Experience with SVN, Git, or other version control systems
Strong shell command-line and scripting skills

Highly desirable:
Experience with or exposure to a wide variety of Android APIs: e.g., location services, GCM, animations, gestures, in-app billing, etc.
Knowledgeable in Android-specific memory optimization techniques, especially bitmap management
Experience with Android WebView API, including JS interfaces
Proficient with one or more scripting languages
Have at least one app that you developed (or contributed substantially to) and released in Google Play

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications using Kotlin and clean and efficient code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and deploy high-quality mobile applications.
• Write unit and integration tests for application reliability, robustness, and usability
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and troubleshoot application bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate these issues.
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in mobile application development, especially those related to Kotlin.
• Mentor and guide junior developers to share knowledge and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, identify, and address code quality issues.
• Participate in product design, development, and deployment activities.
• Insure compliance with coding standards, development processes, and best practices.
• Work collaboratively with product managers and project managers to develop project timelines and deliverables.
• Estimate development time accurately and meet project deadlines.
• Document application code and functionality, as well as project progress and status
