Education and Experience

• 10 to 15 years of production management experience is required.
• Bachelors of Science in Engineering degree is required.
• AOS, Computer Aided Design certification or training, preferable.

?Job Summary

Work with the plant manager and value stream managers to implement Continuous Improvement of manufacturing support operations with the objective of increasing efficiency and capability to support plant and customer current and future needs. Lead and manage manufacturing support personnel (CAD/CAM/CMM) and workflow processes.

Essential Job Functions

Facilitate the optimization and standardization of CAM processes to reduce programming lead times, improve machine cycle times, reduce programming errors and process variation

Facilitate the optimization and standardization of CAD processes to reduce model and drawing lead times and process variation

Identify opportunities and implement automated CAD tools to improve efficiency, quality and standardization

Work with Quality and Operations teams to optimize and standardize inspection and CMM processes to reduce costs and improve quality

Facilitate the optimization and standardization of reverse engineering processes to reduce model and drawing lead times

Create best practices documentation for manufacturing support processes (CAD/CAM/CMM)

Actively research solutions and identify in-plant opportunities to leverage new technology and tools to improve manufacturing capacity, capability and quality

Work with the Operation and HR teams to comply with all safety and OHSA guidelines

Participate in the gross profit review process to drive margin improvement through process efficiency

Work with Process Engineering on technology transfer of new product and process to routine production

Work with the Production and Plant Engineering to scale up process and equipment capacity

Interface with other facility functions to implement Lean and CI program for continuous improvement

Qualify new process, equipment and tool

Advocate customer requirements on process development and improvement

• Document and quantify process improvement efforts

Create and maintain the process instruction and documentation

Performs other related duties or projects as required and assigned.

Qualifications

· Must be outwardly focused on understanding our customer's application requirements and translating that understanding into internal capability development

· Ability to travel based on business need domestically and internationally is required.
