Kiewit Mexico is currently seeking a Piping Designer (Mid) to join our team. As a Piping Designer, you will be responsible for the design and drafting of complex piping systems and their supporting structures in accordance with established industry standards and guidelines. You will collaborate with the Engineering Team and other disciplines to ensure designs meet project specifications, requirements, and codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts for all aspects of piping systems, including fluid dynamics, stress analysis, and process flow
• Collaborate with other designers and engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery
• Ensure that designs meet project requirements, specifications, and codes
• Produce complex piping drawings using AutoCAD or other 3D modeling software
• Review and check design drawings for accuracy and completeness, ensuring quality and error-free work
• Create and maintain project documentation, including design files, engineering calculations, and process specifications
• Participate in project and team meetings to review progress and resolve design-related issues

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Piping Designer in the construction industry
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other piping design software
• Knowledge of industry standards and codes such as ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and API 1104
• Experience with 3D modeling, especially in Autodesk Plant 3D
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
