The MET Technician is responsible for monitoring and maintaining manufacturing process metrics, such as Quality Downtime and First Pass Yield. This role involves troubleshooting process and equipment issues, with a focus on 80% corrective actions and 20% preventive actions. Provides second-level support to maintenance technicians through PLC diagnostics, analyze data, and document troubleshooting efforts for equipment and process rejects.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain manufacturing processes metrics (Quality Downtime, FPY)
• Troubleshooting process and equipment issues based on known variables to return down lines to production
• 80% dedicated corrective actions / 20% preventive action based on team leader task administration
• Adjusting process and equipment parameters based on documentation
• Provide second level support for maintenance techs to diagnosis equipment trough PLC
• Reviewing data in PI for process adjustments
• Document troubleshooting for equipment and process rejects
• Escalate issues with process engineers and team leader for appropriate follow up.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechatronics, mechanical, electronic, or industrial processes)
• At least 5 years of experience and preferable in molding, extrusion, or automation manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, motors, PLCs, cables, cosmetic defect resolution, and tooling
• Root cause analysis for troubleshooting and process optimization
• Technical support for quality, process, maintenance, and control systems
• Production support, serving as the primary contact for failure resolution on production lines
• Basic PLC skills for diagnosis and interpretation
• Expertise in problem-solving and data analysis to drive operational improvements
• Customer service mindset with a results-oriented approach and commitment to excellence
• Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a dynamic manufacturing environment
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills for collaboration across departments
