Position Summary

To help on the execution of Sourcing Strategies of Direct Materials (All Commodities); developing the supply base considering six pillars: a) Cost effective, b) Fulfillment - delivery on time, c) Quality, d) Engineering support, e) Innovation, d) Risk management.

Besides the execution of Sourcing Strategies, will maintain all sourcing records updated: Savings, Contracts, supplier classification, QBRs, PPVS record, supplier contact list, risk mitigation plans, % of supplier localization, on time payment supplier condition, macroeconomics reviews and commodity profiles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute sourcing strategies.

• Support on negotiations on terms and conditions of purchase; including incoterms, payment terms and safety stocks.

• Constantly monitor commodity according to macroeconomics variables.

• Support on the analysis for PPVs monthly reviews with finance identifying the root cause and drive strategies to mitigate negative impact and built up steps for positive impact.

• Execute should cost initiatives, reviewing key supplies as cost drivers according to her/his commodity.

• Reports results of established KPIs to Commodity Sourcing Leader.

• Support strategies to drive supplier consolidation and supplier localization under the fundamental concept: Built in the region what is sold in the region.

• Analyze spend reports and able to formulate a forecast for the next coming month, based on demand and historical information.

• Support on Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers, establishing effective communication among her/his supply base.

• Perform risk analysis identification under supply base with action plans to mitigate in case of any.

• Analyze spend reports and able to formulate a forecast for the next coming month, based on demand and historical information.

• Reports analysis of all supply base in America maintaining records of spend, savings, PPVs, contracts, audits, QBRs.

• Monthly updates on the BBSC for America Sourcing; Service, Indirect and Direct categories.

• Direct communication with finance in order to understand in a monthly basis the key impacts of PPVs generated, so she/he can communicate effectively to the sourcing group in order to take appropriate actions.

• Maintain records updated for our Supplier Master File and communicating effectively to the group when next QBRs, audits, contract negotiations, and key factors needs to happen to have a well communicate supply base list.

• Support on NPIs from a Sourcing perspectives with RFI and RFQ and follow up with supplier samples.

• Support indirect and direct categories for ECNs / ECOs process, managing and communicating with supplier's implementation dates.

• Participate in cross-functional teams and/or similar for the accomplishment of related goals.

• Effectively communication; both verbally and in writing, in English and Spanish.

• Manages time and responsibilities despite the location, i.e. supplier location, home, business trip.

• Conducts herself / himself following UEI's rules of ethic and compliance.

Qualifications - Knowledge & Experience

• 3-5 years in strategic sourcing (direct materials).

• Senior level.

• Negotiations support experience with different levels of spend in a supply base.

• Plastics / Packaging experience required; however, if she/he has experience in other commodities would be considered.

• Total Cost of Ownership interpretation

• Business case analysis (ROI)

Education, Licenses & Certification

• College Degree, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related, and conversational English skills. Diplomas or trainings in Negotiation/Sourcing strategies is a plus.

Work Conditions

• 40-hours plus per week

• Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.

• Sitting for extended periods of time; Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse,

etc.
