In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing scalable, high-performance data solutions using the Microsoft Fabric platform and Azure ecosystem. You will lead the development of data pipelines, data lakes, and semantic models that power business insights, advanced analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of Microsoft's unified data platform, helping shape our enterprise data landscape with innovative technologies and modern engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory Gen2, Pipelines, Dataflows) and Azure Data Factory, supporting batch and streaming data ingestion.
•Develop and maintain lakehouse architectures leveraging OneLake, DirectLake, and Delta format, ensuring seamless integration across Power BI and analytics tools.
•Implement and manage Fabric Lakehouses, Warehouses, Notebooks, and Synapse endpoints for scalable and high-performing data storage and transformation.
•Build enterprise-grade semantic models and Power BI datasets, applying best practices in data modeling, DAX, and performance tuning to enable self-service analytics.
•Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate functional requirements into robust data models and architecture that support analytical needs.
•Apply strong principles of data governance, security, and privacy, including role-level security (RLS) and Microsoft Purview integration for cataloging, lineage, and compliance.
•Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Fabric and Azure resources using Azure DevOps and Git integration, enabling version control and deployment automation.
•Conduct data profiling, validation, and cleansing, ensuring consistent, high-quality data is available across the organization.
•Partner with Data Scientists and AI teams to support advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and ML workloads using Fabric Notebooks and Python/PySpark.
Required Qualifications:
•Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components including OneLake, Data Factory Gen2, DirectLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2, and Power BI.
•Proficiency in SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M) for complex transformations and analytics.
•Strong command of Azure Data Services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database.
•Experience with Python, PySpark, or PowerShell for scripting, data manipulation, and workflow automation.
•Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, data architecture patterns, and ETL/ELT best practices.
•Familiarity with DevOps, Git-based version control, and deployment pipelines for data projects.
•Strong communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or Azure Data Engineer Associate certification.
•Experience with event-driven architectures, streaming data, or real-time analytics using tools like Event Hubs or Data Activator.
•Exposure to machine learning platforms such as Azure Machine Learning or MLflow integrated into analytics workflows.
•Working knowledge of data governance platforms like Microsoft Purview for metadata management and data lineage.
•Experience working in agile development environments with cross-functional teams.
