the required production output within specified resource constraints

Duties and Responsibilities

A Production Planning

1 Supervise and optimize production planning execution in a high complexity plant operation, focused on

attaining the required production output within specified resource constraints

2 Responsible to continuously improve the production planning process in a high complexity plant operation

3 Direct and manage the maintenance of master data

4 Supervise the first level support for production planning in a high complexity plant operation

5 Supervise all knowledge transfer connected to the production planning process

6 Track the achievement of production planning target KPIs in a high complexity plant operation and trigger

countermeasures in case of deviations

7 Supervise all production planning activities in a high complexity plant operation and continuously track and

manage changes during the execution of the production plan

8 Safeguard that all production planners are fulfilling the required tasks according to corporate standards

and trigger trainings to close any related competence gaps in a high complexity plant operation

9 Build-up and maintain all required capabilities and competences to execute a first level support for all

production planning related issues in a high complexity plant operation

10 Responsible to direct production planners to attain required master data quality for standard production

planning use cases

11 Ensure and trigger continuous improvement within the production planning process and supervise the

implementation of improvements according to corporate standards incl. documentation of changes

12 Align all production planning activities within plant logistics and across other related functions in the plant

as well as in corporate logistics

13 Especially aligning with material management, demand and sales planning, reviewing customer orders,

production capabilities and material availability

14 Manage production planning exceptions and facilitate the generation of viable solutions and initiate logistic

escalation if necessary

15 Track plan fulfillment incl. triggering checks regarding material availability, production scheduling, order

release, material reservation and production deadlines, which could lead to the delay of specific deliveries

16 Assumption of KPI responsibility

17 Cooperation / project management in the context of regional and global projects in logistics networks

18 Ensure global standards

B Project Management

1 Management and project lead for high complexity logistics projects from technical and organizational

perspective incl. rollout and sustainable implementation of corporate standard processes

2 Defining, planning, coordinating and monitoring tasks within project teams by using defined methods and

systems

3 Preparing and further development of concepts for improving recording, analysis, modeling, presentation

and management of process-related data

4 Continuous monitoring of project success regarding time, budget and output quality and driving execution

of defined actions

5 Coaching and training of the project team and/or triggering additional trainings

6 Negotiating general logistics conditions with suppliers, service providers and customers (e.g. JIT/JIS

processes, turnaround periods, packaging

C Leadership

1 Deploying employees corresponding to their qualifications within the relevant structure. Instructing and

supporting employees in a target-oriented and motivating manner to fulfill the tasks

2 Guiding, instructing and supporting employees in function-related tasks

3 Participating in hiring process and responsible to sustain the team performance and evaluation as well as

qualification demands
