Purpose of the Job:

Capable of providing Well Construction services by operating WC equipment / products to Clients.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Under limited supervision, aids Tool Technicians during maintenance functions such as repairs, assembles & disassemble of equipment.
• Has completed a Field Training Milestone Sheet as defined by Competency Training Program.
• Capable of identifying all tools, equipment and products and their functions.
• Can complete a Pre-Load Out Check Sheet prior to equipment leaving the shop.
• Can inventory and restock the Service Specialist's tool box.
• Can perform pre-check operations (i.e. operate manual & load cement head in shop prior to shipping out equipment).
• Capable of operating cement head (both manual & automated) on a job location (land or offshore).
• Must have a working knowledge of Land Rig & Offshore Rig operations.
• Capable of performing mathematical calculations involving basic downhole hydraulics.
• Must understand the need for shear pins and shear pin values.
• Serve as a mentor to entry level Service Specialist.
• Recognize and communicate the need for new tools and equipment while on location.
• Identify and communicate the need for parts for inventory and replacement.
• Ensures paperwork documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner on a daily / job basis.
• Understands the Risk Assessment Process.
• Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
• Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and guidelines

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from a state accredited institution.
• One or more years oilfield experience.
• Knowledge of cementing, running cement heads and / or downhole tool such as cement retainers, packers, storm valve, circulating valve, surge tools.

Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificate Required:

• The Service Specialist should be self-motivated and has a willingness to learn.
• Has general knowledge of oilfield applications.
• Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Able to handle high paced work flow.
• Must be dependable.
• Must be able to write in simple correspondence.
• The ability to communicate well with customers and other Blackhawk employees.
• Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Must exhibit a positive attitude during work performance.
• Accept direction and constructive criticism in a positive manner; in turn, shares positive and negative guidance effectively with subordinates.
• Available to work when needed and communicates with supervisor when conflicts arise.
• Intermediate mathematical and measurement computations required.
• Valid Driver License
