US 3PL Logistics company is Looking for a Carrier Development Leader.
The Carrier Development leader is responsible for building long term relationships with carriers, negotiating rates, contracting and procuring carriers for Cross Border line of business, by managing, measuring and controlling the compliance of each carrier in relation with the North American and/or International requirements and specifications.
Primary Job Duties:
- Responsible to Build the carrier data base according with the company Business requirements, which implies control and manage of the carrier databases, compliance, carrier profiles, Ratesheets, spot rates and/or contracted rates. Carrier Capacity Per Region.
- Building long term partnerships with all modes including but not limited to, truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, expedited equipment and air to support our three objects of meaningful relationships, competitive rates and risk mitigation.
- Responsible of controlling the carrier onboarding process and procedures including but not limited to carrier contracts, carrier settlement processes, systems integration and operations execution.
- A mindset and a focus on customer value creation; we require a person who can understand, develop and manage superior business conditions for our carriers that will result in maximum value delivery to our Managed customers.
- Works closely with Customer Service and Operationn department to help develop and deploy optimization opportunities for clients.
- Develop, implement and control the carrier scorecard process that allows to objectively report on and recognize superior operational and service performance, while supporting requirements for continuous process improvement. Carrier Scorecard KPI
- High level of face-to-face, video conferencing and phone calls with clients, carriers and senior management
- Pricing control
- CTPAT Knowledge / Experience, reponsible of auditing carriers and keep tha control and databases updated on this matter.
- Other duties as required and assigned
Essential Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external customers
- Analytical skills. We require a person who can analyze rates and show the impact of their decisions, quantitatively.
- Excellent planning, organizational and presentation skills

- Professional presence and credibility are required.
Requirements : Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of directly related TL capacity development , pricing and carrier management experience, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. Flatbed procurement experience required.
- Experience in a 3PL environment preferred
- CTPAT
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel
- Travel required up to 25%
