Assists in the development and implementation of purchasing/procurement/sourcing policies and administers all purchasing activities, including selecting sources of supply, approving purchase orders, managing relationships with suppliers, and negotiating terms of contracts. Job Summary

Develops and implements procurement strategies to meet company quality, delivery, inventory and cost objectives. Establishes and implements strategic plans in support of short and long term company goals through the rationalization of the supplier base, managing procurement business risks, improving quality, delivery, and inventory performance, and reducing total cost. Functions as key business and technical interface for assigned commodities in managing supplier business relationships

Other Skills and Requirements

• Fluent in written and spoken English required
• Experience with and solid understanding of ERP/MRP systems
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Strong math skills, and knowledge of the metric system, are required
• Heavy Data analysis including MS Excel pivot tables and spreadsheets to do calculations on cost potency changes, percentages, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Applies technical expertise and job experience in the development of business processes to establish supplier quality, delivery and cost performance expectations for strategic commodities.
• Analyzes and develops plans to address supplier capacity concerns.
• Meets product objectives by developing and managing inventory guidelines; makes global sourcing decisions.
• Identifies market and technology opportunities by conducting commodity specific and industry analysis.
• Prepares detailed plans to support commodity objectives by leading worldwide teams in the establishment of commodity strategies.
• Communicates regularly with management and suppliers about results to plan.
• Leads supplier development efforts to provide leadership for strategic commodity teams.
• Acts as primary business and technical interface with suppliers.
• Represents Marmon Foodservice Technologies to suppliers at all levels of management.
• Identifies material leveraging opportunities.
• Provides focus and leadership on supplier reduction; assesses and develops plans to address supplier risks including end of life strategies.
• Directly accountable for $25-$50M in commodity expenditures.
• May supervise exempt and/or non-exempt personnel.
• Periodic domestic and international travel to visit internal stakeholders in other regions, tradeshows, suppliers, and other events as required (15%)
