JOB DESCRIPTION

-Manage MX finance, accounting, treasury, and tax functions of the company.

-Financial Accounting:general ledger transactions, closing processes, and including but limited to:

• Oversee and review all balance sheet accounts;
• Enter entries and/or approve journal entries produced by accounting staff, review and approve documentation.
• Ensure that the accounting treatment is correct.
• Quarterly financial statements;
• Maintain work papers and reconciliation schedules;
• Payment batch release;
• Prepare year-end/audit papers.
• FP&A processes and operations support.
• Responsible for cost data calculate and follow-up product cost.

-Ensure compliance with internal procedures; recommend and implement process improvements.

-Support all relevant internal areas including the design and presentation of training for accounting policies and procedures which impact these departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 5+ years of experience in corporate finance or accounting. Experience at “ big 4 ” ( accounting firm ) is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in 2 or more accounting software.
• Math, analytical, negotiation, and attention to detail skills
• Speed and accuracy in performing data entry.
• Monthly VAT tax submission or experience in VAT data preparation.

Preferred Qualifications (Advantages)

• Demonstrated experience with the IMMEX program, including the application process and system operations relevant to inventory control and electronic invoicing.
• Experience in VAT certification or other relevant foreign trade programs is a plus.
• Experience in Mexico tax filing software
