What you will do?
The Claims Specialist will be responsible for the review of warranty and insurance claims submitted to Tyco Fire Protection Products (TFPP). The Claims Specialist will communicate with the TFPP customer to understand the claim and assist them with the return of the product for evaluation. The Claims Specialist will substantiate claims with a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and determine TFPP's liability. The Claims Specialist will make recommendations to management for settlement of claims or other necessary remedies.

Critical Position Requirements (Must Have)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Risk Management or Insurance or a minimum of 3 years related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and constituents at all levels of the organization including the ability to be persuasive and/or assertive.
- Must be detail oriented, results driven.
- Capable of using innovative thinking through analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple priorities/deadlines.
- Competent in verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills to be capable of dealing with customers, insureds, claimants, outside investigation sources, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, attorneys and other parties involved in the claims process.
- Possess a high level of energy, be a quick study, work independently and proactively, and assimilate learning materials on many different subjects from various sources, as evidenced by successful completion of college level curriculum.
- Highly adaptive to changes in the work environment.
- Work well within a team structure, giving and receiving assistance.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
- Willingness and ability to perform special projects and assignments as requested.
- Demonstrated track record of Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence & Accountability.
What are we looking for?
- Experience with global ERP systems of 2 years or longer. SAP experience is a plus.
- Ability to navigate within a highly matrixed organization.
- General knowledge of the fire protection industry and the products sold in the industry.
- Possess general knowledge of claim areas such as product liability, property damage and bodily injury claims etc.
- Experience and comfort working with virtual teams.
