Remote | Senior Data Engineering | Azure Data Factory & Big Data | ETL Architecture & Pipeline Design | Python, SQL, Spark

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer with deep experience in ETL development, data architecture, and cloud-scale tooling. You'll go beyond building pipelines — you'll make architectural decisions, evaluate trade-offs, and select the right tools for each data challenge. If you've navigated the world of Azure Data Factory, Spark, Databricks, and complex datasets, we want to hear from you.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL development and data engineering
• 3+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), including Mapping Data Flows
• Strong expertise in Apache Spark and understanding of in-memory processing advantages over traditional SQL engines
• Proficient in SQL and Python for data transformations
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, or other large-scale data platforms
• Proven ability to design scalable data pipelines and make informed architectural decisions
• Strong communication skills to explain tool trade-offs and architecture reasoning

Bonus if you have:

• Experience in healthcare data environments (claims data, HL7/FHIR, HIPAA compliance)
• Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, or data quality
• Exposure to cloud data architecture and data modeling principles
