Job Description Summary In the Aviation Computing, Networking and Mission Systems team, we develop and test critical Avionics products; due to the high criticality of our applications, our engineers have a high responsibility in the development of Computing and Networking products.
The Engineering Manager demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. Responsible for all team operations, activities, performance and improve development needs related to teams interaction in a global environment.
Job Description Roles and responsibilities:
Major Team Management: Collaborate on the team's vision and strategy definitions and execution.
Plan, manage and optimize team's resources. Execute the planning, financial, resource development, technics and compliance sessions.
Achieve the goals established by the business, such as OTD FTY, budgets, growth, etc.
Technical Contribution: Lead the execution and assess of Engineering Activities (estimations, plans, analysis and report processes) to meet project needs.
Quality: Ensure that Quality of Deliverables, Quality Management Systems, LEAN and General measurement of Quality objectives are met.
Global interaction with cross functional teams, to be able to collaborate in areas related to his/her work and to assure the requirements of the technology/process that he/she is responsible for the implementation of compliance plan and activities.
Collaborate with other GEIQ Defense & Systems Managers on strategy definition, resource sharing, and workload management
Required Qualifications:
Have a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Systems or Mechatronics Engineering or similar.
English skills: Excellent written, oral and listening comprehension abilities both in Spanish and in English. Must be able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation on any topic with few mistakes (mistakes that will not affect getting the message through). Must have fluency and rhythm and sufficient self-confidence in the language to be able to handle meetings and conversations.
Proven experience in successfully leading Experienced/Lead Professional employees
Point of contact between Global counterparts and GEIQ
Responsible for a complete organization within GEIQ
Management of budget, Head Count, and program approvals
Demonstrated Project Management skills or the ability to document, plan, market, execute, control, close and manage programs, projects, orders, activities or systems
Desired Qualifications:
MSc in Electronics or related field
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
Effective problem identification and solution skills.
Proven analytical and organizational ability.
Working knowledge of DO-254 certification guideline
Working knowledge of HW-PRO procedure
Electronic Analog/Digital Design experience
