We are seeking an experienced IT Disaster Recovery Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in disaster recovery planning and execution, as well as experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery solutions.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Planning and Design: Planning, designing, and executing procedures that ensure the continuity of a company's IT systems in the event of a disaster. This includes creating strategies to minimize downtime and data loss.
Infrastructure Optimization: Focus on high-level network, systems, and storage infrastructure planning and optimization related to disaster recovery and business technology resiliency requirements. This involves assessing existing infrastructure and recommending improvements.
Risk Mitigation: Implements security measures to protect sensitive information during the recovery process. This helps reduce the risk of data breaches and ensures that critical systems are back online quickly after a disaster (such as floods or cyber attacks).
Documentation: Document procedures, recovery plans, and best practices to ensure that the organization is well-prepared for any potential disruptions.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals, stakeholders, and management to ensure alignment with business goals and compliance requirements.
Conduct regular disaster recovery testing and exercises.
Skills You Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant certifications.
7 to 10 years of diverse IT work experience, including technical system support, network/server administration, or related roles.
Proficiency in disaster recovery planning, infrastructure design, and risk mitigation.
Experience working with both on-premise and public cloud environments.
Understanding of building codes and regulations related to disaster recovery.
Ability to work with other IT professionals, stakeholders, and emergency management offices.
Skill in documenting procedures, recovery plans, and best practices.
Proficient in English both written and spoken.
