(EMCO), a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) company specializing in various public infrastructure projects such as LED street lighting, water treatment, waste treatment and waste-to-energy recovery, renewable energy, and other public constructions, is seeking a technically skilled, self-motivated, resourceful and detail-oriented Product Development Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Your Responsibilities

· Have deep understanding in company's product catalog and the technologies, principles and technical/economic benefits behind the products.

· Develop new products to fit customer needs and project requirements.

· Provide technical support to sales at pre-sales stage, including evaluate product fitness; making site visit to understand customer needs, choosing the right product, product implementation, and identifying technical/economic benefits for the customers.

· Conduct basic market research or collaborate with professional market research company to identify customer and market needs.

· Collaborate with Project Development and Project Management Teams to create an executable product.

· Provide product technical support to help resolve technical issues encountered in various projects.

· Collaborate with Project Management, Project Development Teams, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective technical and economic solutions.

· Conduct site visits, inspections, and testing as needed to support the resolution of technical issues.

· Identify national standard and develop product that complies accordingly.

· Collaborate with Customs Broker to identify import requirements such as classification of HS code, import tariff, required certificates, and other importation restrictions.

· Collaborate with Laboratory and Certification Body to obtain and retain certificates.

· Collaborate with supplier for continuous product improvement achieving the best laboratory results to remain at the top of the market.

· Estimate product unit cost and develop product that is within the budget of the Project Development Team and Project Management Team.

· Identify economic benefits of the product and provide accurate data to Project Development Team.

· Travel within Mexico and overseas to visit project sites, factories, and technology providers as required to gain a deeper understanding of different products and technologies, and to bring the required knowledge back to the company.

· Prepare comprehensive product presentation for sales team.

· Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and ensure the highest standards of project delivery.

· Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in English and conduct research in English to stay informed on the latest developments in the field.

You are part of

Professional talent in Product Development, playing a key role in developing products for our PPP projects related to public infrastructure and making sure the product will generate the technical and economic benefits that our project promises. You will directly report to the COO of the company.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience.

· Bachelor's degree or above major in Engineering or Science.

· Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in product development and engineering problem solving.

· Excellent technical instinct and the ability to utilize technologies for problem solving.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on addressing technical challenges in an economically feasible way.

· Good execution capability and strong desire for success.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate in English.

· Pragmatic attitude when aligning with your colleagues and customers.

· Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to learn and adapt to various fields within public infrastructure projects.

· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

· Experience in implementing a new product.

· Experience in product cost estimation.

· Ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written) and conduct research in English.

· Hands-on experience in addressing technical issues, providing suitable products for customer needs.

· Proficient in the use of word, excel, and other engineering software and tools for product development.

· Experience with software and the ability to implement and optimize its use for greater efficiency within the department.

· Solid understanding of the company's products and the ability to create presentable materials.

Position Offers

· Base Salary: $14,000 - 17,000MXN per month.

· Food and restaurant vouchers.

· A definite contract with a 4 month of probation period.
