Purpose: The lean manufacturing engineer is responsible for leading and deploying the best practices in the manufacturing plants. By taking initiatives to support continuous improvement in the manufacturing processes by reducing the NVA of identifying waste of the process, improving flow of the material and products to improve the Lead Time, and reducing cost. He/ she works to achieve the manufacturing goal and objectives of the organization, leads, facilitates, executes and manages projects to reduce the cost significantly by implementing Lean.
Dimensions of Position:
Support and advise the facility management team in all areas of Manufacturing Plant (AR, Viso, Refractories, SG)

Weekly meeting
Training of the personnel in Lean Tools as required.
Lean introduction to new hire.
To work to achieve the Vesuvius Road Map.
To develop the VSM and determine the waste and bottleneck to develop a workshop of the manufacturing plant
Standard Organization (Team Leader) to develop to team leader as Turbo Safety.
To achieve the Saving objectives, improve the process.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Must speak fluent English
Experience:
A relevant Industrial Engineering degree is preferred.
Over three years' experience as Lean coordinator or similar position.
Background in Lean Manufacturing (Waste analysis, VSM, Kanban, Kaizen, JIT, 5S, SMED, TPM, TT, Spaghetti Chart, Standard work, GEMBA, Andon System, EADs, Standard Organization, visual factory).
Background in people management and project management.
Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills. Competent in problem solving, team building, planning, and decision making.
Problem Solving & Complexity:
Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects to timely completion.
Ability to interpret and adjust to situations that involve conflicting goals.
Ability to effectively communicate with various functions and levels within the organization to solve complex issues.
