Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading and optimizing manufacturing engineering and maintenance operations to ensure high performance, efficiency, and safety. This role involves extensive experience with molding, automation, CNC operations, paint lines, and facilities maintenance, including electrical engineering and distribution. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing new production lines, machinery installation, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing Engineering:
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for molding, automation, CNC, paint lines, and other key production technologies.
• Oversee layout design to enhance workflow efficiency and space utilization.
• Lead engineering changes and process design improvements to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
• Maintenance Management:
• Manage maintenance operations for manufacturing equipment, including chillers, HVAC systems, ovens, and electrical distribution systems.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, providing guidance and support for professional development.
• Project Management:
• Plan, execute, and oversee engineering and maintenance projects, including the setup of new production lines and machinery installation.
• Ensure project goals are met on time and within budget, coordinating with cross-functional teams as needed.
• Oversee the testing and release of new equipment and processes to ensure they meet performance standards.
• Process Improvement and Cost Saving:
• Apply Lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement measures to reduce operational expenses while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Develop and maintain standard work procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure all manufacturing and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training programs to promote a culture of safety.
• Address and resolve any safety or compliance issues promptly.
• Leadership and People Development:
• Provide strong leadership to the team of manufacturing engineers, maintenance technicians, and engineers.
• Conduct performance evaluations, set clear objectives, and identify training needs to support employee growth and development.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management, Lean methodologies, or related areas are preferred.
• Experience:
• 6 to 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with expertise in molding, automation, CNC, paint lines, and facilities maintenance.
• Proven experience in managing maintenance operations, electrical engineering, and machinery maintenance.
• Demonstrated success in setting up new production lines, machinery installation, and process improvements.
• Skills:
• Strong technical knowledge in manufacturing processes, electrical distribution, and equipment maintenance.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with a focus on people development.
• Proficiency in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Expertise in Lean methodologies and process improvement techniques.
