Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring their engagement, motivation, and effective collaboration towards project goals
• Oversee the technical aspects of projects, including planning, design, implementation, and testing
• Ensure project deadlines are met and the engineering team consistently delivers high-quality work
• Collaborate with other departments, such as product management, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution
• Participate in the hiring process, defining job requirements, interviewing candidates, and making hiring decisions
• Develop and implement onboarding and training programs for new team members
• Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to team members, identifying areas for improvement and growth opportunities
• Manage and resolve conflicts within the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices, incorporating them into the team's work as appropriate
• Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
• At least 5 years of engineering experience, with a focus on the specific discipline relevant to the team
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team of engineers
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
• Familiarity with relevant industry tools, software, and technologies
• Public speaking experience is a plus
