RF Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide optimization services for network improvements based on capacity, coverage, and KPI

• Work on end to end radio performance and Optimization for GSM/UMTS/LTE.

• Improve KPI's, alarms investigation, correction, and improvement of network problems

• GSM/UMTS/LTE Network troubleshooting and fixing day to day issues

• Provide live technical support to field engineers in troubleshooting and fixing issues

• Analyze network performance statistics and provide solutions for capacity and/or coverage requirements.

• Analyze Costumer complains and provide optimization suggestions

• Identify and analyze worst offenders providing action plan to solve the problem.

• Recommend parameters tuning

• Analyze DT logs and improve coverage.

• Perform network data collection, generation of daily / weekly report, and a first level of analysis with problems identification.

• Perform capacity, architecture and performance optimization.

• Competence in KPI Counters, root Cause analysis and Problem solving

• Ensure that deliverables & KPIs are followed-up and met the quality requested.

• Work on new solutions to improve performance, such as features , hardware ,etc.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronic/Telecom Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.

• More than 5 years of experience in RF network optimization for Huawei.

• Experience working in 2G, 3G, and LTE technologies.

• Network Topology knowledge GSM, UMTS and LTE technologies.

• Must have recent hands-on experience working on Huawei RF network optimization.

• Experience performing analysis, monitoring, reporting, and troubleshooting.

• Should have an understanding of Radio Resource Management functionalities, e.g., handover control, admission controls, capacity management, etc.

• Desirable to have experience working with OSS, U2000, Assistant, Omstar, mapinfo

• Must have experience on parameters, KPI counters, Operational Performance Indicator counters.

. Skills to review daily KPI reports and identify sites with performance degradation issues is required.

• Must have deep experience in network performance components and troubleshooting. Network performance problem detection and solution methods, e.g., throughput issues, drops, blocks, etc.

• Must have knowledge of running traces for troubleshooting/analysis..

• Should have expertise in troubleshooting to perform tasks such as resetting an eNB, changing a parameter, run WO, verify alarms etc.,.

•Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (formulas, macros)
