Your Job
As a Production Supervisor for OPTO Fiber Optics, you will oversee and coordinate the operations of our fiber production line, ensuring that our manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently. Your leadership will be pivotal in maintaining high standards of productivity, quality, and safety within our facility.
Our Team
You will be part of the dedicated Fiber Operations team, working closely with operators and other supervisors to drive performance and innovation. Our team is committed to excellence, ensuring that every phase of the fiber production process meets both company and industry standards.
What You Will Do
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of operators across all phases of fiber operations to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate area performance, focusing on productivity, adherence to production schedules, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Support the production floor by solving process problems and implementing continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and 5S maintenance.
- Review and analyze production reports, including OEE and downtime, to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage inventory accuracy and maintain records using SAP and other management systems.
- Train new hires and conduct recertifications for existing operators to ensure skill development and compliance with operational standards.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Proven experience in production supervision within an electronics company.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Intermediate-Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Understand, follow, and respect the provisions described in LFT (Federal Labor Law), RIT (Internal Labor Regulation) and other regulations applicable to Molex Mexico.
- Background/Knowledge in EHS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of inventory control activities.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Advanced skills in MS Office applications.
- Experience/Knowledge in fiber optics.
- Familiarity with Kronos or other personnel assistance systems.
- Experience and knowledge in production control areas.
