Bachelor's degree: International Business / Foreign Trade / Customs Law / International Business Relations / Logistics or related
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Logistics capacity or a combination of training and experience that indicates the ability to do the job.
ADVANCED ENGLISH ESSENTIAL
Main Purpose of the role and Responsibility:
- Supports MEXAD Manager ensuring that all processing requests received from Business Department completed timely and accurately
- All documents provided to confirm compliance with established standards for import, export, offshore or domestic business requirements.
- Resolves problems by researching, analyzing underlying issues and presenting potential solutions to the appropriate parties. Escalates unresolved issues to management as needed.
- Keeps Business Department informed as to status or processes on an as-needed basis, providing timely responses to inquiries
- Fulfills Business Department requests by analyzing both contract data and materials presented by logistics providers to support said contract and creating the appropriate workflow(s) utilizing the MUGEN system
- Ensures full compliance with Law customs, NOMs, PROSEC, IMMEX, and applicable international trade laws
- Oversees pedimento review, HS classification, import/export controls, and documentation verification
- Coordinates foreign trade requirements related to SAT, customs brokers, and BDs, to manage regulatory risk
- Prepares for and manage internal and external audits and customs inspections
- Supports internal compliance training, SOP development, and policy enforcement
- Tracks and report potential customs discrepancies, duty overpayments, or audit findings
- Develops and maintains dashboards, KPI reporting, and audit logs
- Assigns challenging projects to high-potential staff and provides performance coaching
- Fosters a team culture aligned with Mitsui's Mission, Vision, and Values (MVV)
- Resolves problems by researching, analyzing underlying issues and presenting potential solutions to the appropriate parties. Escalate unresolved issues to management as needed.
- Participates in additional projects as needed by manager.
- Adds value by using expertise to find efficiencies in existing processes and to aid Business Department personnel in navigating through corporate and governmental requirements

- Ability to create custom dashboards, reports, or workflows using Power BI, Power Apps, etc.
- Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Working knowledge and understanding of trading terms between buyers and sellers in international trade
- Practical experience with international import and export shipping documents, and analysis thereof, including insurance principles
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures, transportation methods and relevant logistics documentation
- Knowledge of logistics concepts, practices and procedures
- Broad understanding of business process design with ability to identify areas for improvement and streamline processes, utilizing automation tools and techniques
- Proficiency in data analysis to identify patterns, trends and outliers of business process to use in monitoring, risk management, and decision-making
- Ability to provide strategic advice to counterparts, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
