The Opportunity - This role is focus on leading the implementation of Digital Twin project to LATAM sites to enable the Digitalized Transformation Strategy.
- Provide technical support on issues related to Digital Twin Implementations to ensure the availability of the production lines connected to this system and their optimal operation as the expert on LATAM.
- Responsible to determine best practices for code management, support, code builds, and code deployments to standardize all Digital Twin controls logic in LATAM sites and collaborate to define the OT infrastructure required for the installation of the system to maintain high availability, complying with all the conditions defined by Cybersecurity.
- Support any new project related to digital twin as the expert in the system and contribute to architecture design for the team.
- Collaborate with site and regional teams to guarantee successful Digital Twin implementations, be involved in all major technical decisions of the system, and work to help increase scalability and performance.
- Propose and develop low-cost projects for LATAM based on control automation solutions oriented to improve the availability and efficiency of the packaging tubes.
- Providing pro-active risk management and mitigation throughout the Digital Twin project life cycle and identifying, monitoring, and managing the project's critical path.
- Understand the technologies, tools, procedures, resources, and best practices used to improve the system and implementations.
ResponsibilitiesYour Impact As
Control & Information System Manager - Digital Twin Project your scope would consist of:
- Leads Digital Twin implementations in LATAM sites.
- Provide technical support for the control specialists in the role at the site level on issues related to controls, networking, equipment integration and communications protocols.
- Able to interact with business users, understand the requirement and convert them into technical solutions.
- Participate in the development of a regional strategy for the Digital Twin Project Sustainability.
- Translate opportunities into specific project deliverables, aligning internal and external technical resources to the priorities and resource requirements.
- Implement and manage structured specification systems and change control procedures to enforce standard software, hardware, and network implementations such that reliable, consistent information is delivered to the business.
- Develop LatAm specific playbooks for the implementation of the Digital Twin project following best practices documentation and global standards.
- Provide technical guidance, and communicate as necessary with all levels of management, customers, and subcontractors on the project team.
- Collect information, analyze (control) issues, and locate complex failures and failure causes.
- Designing or modifying control systems by performing system analyses, studying problem definitions, formulating definitions, flow charts and test programs/procedures, taking into consideration prescribed standards and security frameworks.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices, incorporating them into the team's work as appropriate.
- Participate in cross-functional technical reviews to ensure alignment of technical specifications of the system.
QualificationsWho Are We Looking For? Experience
- Fully authorized and knowledgeable on network and equipment integration and systems through qualifications and experience.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, leadership, and grit.
- At least 7 years' experience in programming PLCs and microprocessor-based control equipment for major projects.
- Provides training and mentoring to less experienced team members.
- Able to demonstrate basic skills in high-level language programming and databases.
- Ability to work and modify ACAD technical drawings, Gantt charts and developing URS / playbooks
- Thin client Architecture and Virtualization Technology (VMWare)
- First Degree or equivalent in Controls and Automation Engineering or Mechatronic.
- Good knowledge of SQL, data modeling and relational databases.
- High technical knowledge of Wonderware Historian and in touch software, Allen-Bradley PLC hardware and software, industrial networks, and communications protocols.
- Cultural sensitivity/flexibility in responding to different cultures.
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Must be willing to travel (Frequently 50% of time)
- Strong Management skills to lead support teams (both direct and functional reports), as well as to conduct cross functional efforts looking for end to end Productivity processes.
- Possess an inquisitive nature and a need to understand why and how things are done.
- Excellent communication skills, able to work as a team member, with both management and front-line groups.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and handle unforeseen requirements effectively with limited assistance for prioritization.
