Accounting Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and providing insightful financial analysis. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with financial regulations and the smooth operation of the accounting department.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

· Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and subsidiary accounts.

· Review and analyze financial transactions and data for accuracy and completeness.

· Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

· Prepare and process journal entries and ensure timely posting to the general ledger.

· Assist with financial reporting and prepare detailed reports on account balances, profit, and loss statements, and other financial data.

· Monitor and ensure the proper classification and coding of financial transactions.

· Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records or transactions.

· Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and reports are provided.

· Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing relevant financial data.

· Collaborate with other departments to gather, analyze, and report financial information.

· Legal Tax Obligations.

· Period End Reconciliations, General Ledger and Reporting.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

· Proven experience (2-3 years) as an Accounting Analyst, Accountant, or in a related role.

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is a plus.

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.

· High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
