Job Description

The Operations Specialist (Ground Freight) will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our ground freight services. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of logistics processes and the ability to manage complex operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in logistics, strong analytical skills, and the capabilities necessary to enhance operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate daily ground freight operations to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Develop and implement processes and systems to optimize logistics operations, focusing on cost reduction and service enhancement.
• Collaborate with transportation providers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless integration across the supply chain.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Create reports and present findings to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and safety standards governing freight operations.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any operational issues related to ground freight services promptly and effectively.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of goods in transit and ensure proper documentation for all shipments.
• Assist in budget management and control of operational costs.
• Train and supervise junior staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and efficiency within the operations team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Operations Specialist or in a related position within ground freight or logistics.
• Comprehensive knowledge of logistics operations, including freight management, transportation regulations, and supply chain processes.
• Proficiency in utilizing logistics software and tools for tracking and reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with vendors, customers, and team members.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Coordination: Oversee the logistics process from order placement to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all operations related to freight forwarding.

Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors, effectively communicating logistics needs and updates. Ensure that all parties are well-informed throughout the transportation process.

Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during operations. Utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to address challenges efficiently.

Documentation Management: Maintain and manage all necessary documentation related to logistics operations, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics operations (Ground Freight).

Educational Background: A degree in international trade, logistics engineering, or a related field.

Advanced English is required.

Skills: time management and multitasking.
