Project Controls Specialist
Supports all Project Controls requirements for HBS (Honeywell Business Solutions) projects as a productive team
member by participating in all project stages Functionally reports to the Projects Controls Supervisor in the region
within which he/she operates.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintains project cost and schedule tools used by HBS to accurately measure, forecast and track
project-related work, and associated timely delivery of these products, including resource planning.
• Ensures the accuracy of earned value data on allocated projects.
• Works closely with project management, contract management, engineering and construction
personnel to define detailed measurement and scheduling criteria.
• Assists, and sometimes takes lead, in producing and maintaining project schedules and associated
deliverables tracking and project S curves.
• Participates in project planning processes, defining scopes, establishing WBS & budgets on allocated
projects.
Insures that project control procedure compliance & standards are allocated to projects.
• Works with Project Managers to produce accurate cost estimates for change orders and maintains
the change log/variance log in PV (Project Vision).
• Works with Business Management (Program Managers, Directors, and Finance management) to
report both project and program forecasts.
• Contributes and oversees coordination of monthly project status reports to customers.
• Performs project cost risk analysis for developing project contingency budgets and maintains run
down curves for continued project cost risk assessment.
• Manages the receivables & payables balance on allocated projects.
• Leads and insures accurate and timely project invoicing to associated customers.
• Participates in project risk reviews.
• Work is usually office based but depending on individual project requirements the position may
require occasional travel to and / or work in client facilities or remote construction locations.
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelors' Degree in engineering or project management preferred.
• Hands on experience with enterprise wide cost accounting system, SAP preferred.
• Advance Knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Basic knowledge of VBA is a plus.
• Knowledge of cost estimating, tracking and control.
• Knowledge of business concepts and processes, including contracts, finance, and cash flow.
• Basic knowledge of Scheduling (MS Project and/or Primavera).
• Experience with multi-disciplined projects (engineering, software development, construction, and
procurement) and leading a project controls team.
• The ability to interpret relationships between cost, schedule and resource requirements and how they
relate to stated business objectives.
• Experience in presenting project cost and schedule data to both project teams and uppermanagement.
• Experience with schedule and commercial reporting on technical scope execution.
• Fully Bi-lingual
