We are currently seeking a Application Security Engineer to join our team in Remote, México (MX-MEX), Mexico (MX).
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate and automate security testing into the software development process, and to implement secure coding practices.
• Conduct security assessments of software applications and products throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security controls.
• Coordinate with third-party firms to schedule periodic penetration testing to schedule and lead remediation efforts with development teams.
• Assist in security code reviews and in remediating security flaws from internal testing as well as third-party penetration testing.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies.
What you will bring:
• Good to have solid foundational programming experience with Java, JavaScript and C# and must have basic knowledge on these to facilitate the discussion.
• Strong understanding of application security concepts, secure coding practices, and software development methodologies.
• Proficiency in security assessment tools and techniques (e.g., SAST, DAST, IAST).
• Knowledge of common web & mobile application vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP ASVS) and mitigation techniques.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and frameworks.
• Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment for applications.
• Comfortable with tools such as Veracode, New Relic, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP.
• Experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF) a plus
Education/Course of Study:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Application Security Engineer (CASE), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or similar credentials are preferred.
