DB Cloud Test Development team is a part of Database division at Oracle Corporation and is chartered to develop software for evaluating and measuring the quality of the Database Cloud Services.
Our team with its state-of-the-art development infrastructure and practices helps shape technology that has been important for a large number of global big companies and different Government departments. The team foresees Database product and Database Cloud Services usage scenarios and develops automated test framework, tests, and tools to simulate real life scenarios to ensure that customers get the highest quality Database Cloud Services.
About the Role
As a member of DB Cloud testing team, you will gain in-depth experience of various database cloud service offerings such as Autonomous Database Cloud Service (Dedicated) and Exadata Cloud Service on Public Cloud and Cloud@Customer, VMDB SI/RAC, and Database Bare Metal Cloud service as well as several Oracle databases features. You will work with highly motivated and enthusiastic engineers who have in-depth database administration and data center level end-to-end workflow experience on our OCI Gen2 Cloud and develop test frameworks and tools to test Oracle Database Cloud from all aspects, Provisioning, Migration, Life Cycle Management, Networking, and Security.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of software development processes (design, development, and testing)
• Work on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, exciting, and rapidly growing environment.
• Java, SQL, Database concepts, Perl, Python, C
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Good verbal and written communication
Detailed Description and Job Requirement Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
