Summary:
The Programmer/Analyst is responsible for the design, development, modification, debugging, and evaluation of software programs and systems to support various functional areas within the organization. This role involves analyzing user requirements, developing technical solutions, creating and maintaining applications and databases, and ensuring the correct functionality of software. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in programming principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Software Development & Implementation:
- Design, develop, modify, debug, and evaluate application programs in support of functional areas such as finance, human resources, manufacturing, and marketing.
- Develop accepted software solutions using the most suitable programming languages, frameworks, libraries, and technologies.
- Develop conversion and system implementation plans.
- Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation.
- Requirements Analysis & Solution Design:
- Analyze requirements to understand project needs and business objectives.
- Propose and document comprehensive software solutions based on obtained and agreed-upon requirements.
- Devise logical procedures and prepare flowcharts for program development.
- Database Management:
- Develop and maintain applications and databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Assert the correct functionality of the software solution by performing thorough internal tests.
- Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Release Management & Documentation:
- Prepare and document releases of software solutions for test and production instances.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Propose improvements for existing applications by implementing new technologies, frameworks, and libraries.
- Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
- User Support & Training:
- Train users in the conversion and implementation of systems.
- Provide technical support for developed applications.
- Collaboration:
- Work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
- Potentially work in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions.
Requirements:
- Education:
- University degree, preferably in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering.
Experience:
- 1+ years desired in development activities.
Knowledge:
- Web development (JS, HTML, CSS)
- SQL (MSSQL, PostgreSQL)
- Object-oriented programming principles
- VCS (Git)
- NodeJS/NestJS (JS) - Required
- Angular (Typescript) - Required
- Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
- Fundamentals of cloud technologies
- Knowledge of design patterns
- Java (Spring MVC) - Desired
- .NET (C#) - Desired
Skills / Competencies:
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, with technical and non-technical staff.
- Flexible and adaptable in terms of learning and understanding new technologies.
- Mastery of software development patterns for OOP.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively.
