About the Team

The team develops the core APIs used by all devices on our platform to control, react to, onboard, and list devices. If high-volume systems critical to customer success excite you, then this opportunity is for you! The team is at the centre of our IoT strategy, which actively evolves to meet customer expectations, adopt new standards, new compliance and certification requirements, and continuous business growth. In this role, you'll be able to work on high-impact projects in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment with a team of high-performing engineers.

Required

• Experience with Java
• JVM web frameworks. Micronaut, Spring Boot, etc.
• Experience with asynchronous server-side programming.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or DynamoDB.
• Strong experience with modern non-blocking/asynchronous server frameworks like Micronaut, Sprint Boot, Node.js, Spring WebFlux, etc.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Experience with large complex microservice architecture and service-to-service interconnectability
• Experience with Linux systems.
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience operating production services in AWS.
• Comfortable deploying and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Generally identifies as a hard working, light hearted, joyful, growth mindset individual

Nice to have

• Experience with RatPack is a plus.
• Experience with Kotlin
• Experience with Kafka.
• Experience with IoT device applications.

• Include client_id in with Rate Limits
• Category Extraction to Duplo
• Cassandra Migration
• Manifold MySQL to DynamoDB migration
• Fix Gizmo Pagination
• Implement Circuit Breakers across Gizmo for all backends accordingly
• Manifold Backend conversion Phase 2 & 3
• PagerDuty monitors and alert audits and adjustment implementation
• Removing complex, dead code from Gizmo
