This position is primarily responsible for the successful execution of the commercial strategy for the blueberry and raspberry business. This position reports to the Commercial Manager and collaborates with Grower Support, Customer Service and other Departments in the Company.
This position is based in Tala, Jalisco, Mexico.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Collaborates with the Commercial Manager, Grower Support, Customer Service, and Sekoya team for the development and successful execution of the commercial strategy for all customers in the regions and globally.
· Develops current and new business through establishing relationships in the industry by closing sales and agreements.
· Manages customer relationships, anticipates needs, and delivers solutions.
· Responsible for developing and maintaining a rolling sales forecast for responsible accounts.
· Provides input and recommendations for new products and varieties and contributes to their commercialization and acceptance with assigned accounts.
· Gathers information on competitors, customers, and trends and makes recommendations to management to take advantage of market opportunities.
· Collaborates with the marketing team on planning and execution of marketing plans for targeted customers.
· Coordinates regional commercial teams ti improved customer success.
· Collaborates with the appropriate teams on scheduling and managing visits to the nursery from existing and prospective customers. Plans and implements educational seminars for customers as needed.
· Assures the highest level of confidentiality on sensitive matters concerning the nursery.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND TRAINING:
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Agribusiness, Marketing, Horticulture or related field.
· 5 years of sales experience or sales management experience in agricultural business.
· Experience with market analysis, logistics, pricing, budgeting and program management.
· Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
· Assertive oral and written communication in English and Spanish.
