Responsible for the development and monitoring of the supplier base of the company at North America Region, achieving and ensuring quality standards according to the Supplier Guide Requirements and standards such as VDA and/or IATF.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the development of new suppliers
Audit process capability and output (PPAP release)
Ensure compliance with quality and productivity standards for suppliers
Create an annual supplier audit plan and execute audits accordingly
During audits, validate and maintain documentation of qualified suppliers according to IATF, corporate, and/or VDA
Coordinate schedules according to applicable requirements for new project suppliers and share with stakeholders
Responsible for PPAP requalification with assigned suppliers (annually)
Responsible for generating, tracking, and closing supplier notifications
Comply with applicable customer-specific requirements for SQE
Attend applicable audits for SQE
Generate RMAs for supplier charges due to defective material impacts, lost production time, overtime, etc.
Analyze, manage, and ensure workload balance and responsibilities for their team according to the global organization
Ensure compliance with defined local and global KPIs
Develop and lead the supplier quality team
Experience, Education and Development:
Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering
Availability to travel
Fluent in English
German language (desirable)
Negotiation and communication skills
Knowledge in Customer Specific Requirements
Knowledge of Core Tools
Problem Solving knowledge
Knowledge IATF 16949
Knowledge in VDA 6.3 (Auditor license desirable)
5–7 years of experience in similar positions
