Position: Logistics Specialist
Department: Logistics / International- National Trade
Reports to: Director, General Management, and Operations.
Location: Parque Pinar Empresarial.
Position Objective
Define, coordinate, and oversee the company's logistics and operational strategy for imports and exports, ensuring legal compliance, operational efficiency, and profitability of international operations.
Main Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and monitor the import and export strategy for raw materials and finished products.
• Responsible for reviewing import and export declaration documents, requesting regulatory certificates, customs clearance of goods, tax payments, and resolving emergencies during the import and export process.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, international treaties, and internal company policies.
• Responsible for providing customs clearance and import and export transportation solutions according to the company's needs; • Organize the transportation, distribution, and tracking of imported and exported goods in accordance with the commercial terms and contract terms, and provide timely feedback and resolve abnormal situations during transportation.
• Complete system operations related to import and export operations;
• Settle expenses related to import and export logistics;
• Prepare various import and export data reports.
• Oversee international logistics processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, efficiency, and delivery times.
• Negotiate trade agreements with shipping companies, forwarders, brokers, customs agents, clients, and suppliers.
Profile Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, Customs, or a related field.
• Advanced English (conversational and written).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in foreign trade, international logistics, or customs.
• Thorough knowledge of customs regulations, INCOTERMS, trade agreements, and platforms such as VUCEM.
• Analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
