The IT Internal Auditor will be part of Audit and Advisory Services Department (Group Internal Audit). The auditor will conduct audits throughout the group offices mainly in America and will be based in Mexico office. The auditor will be working as part of a team to provide the Audit Committee with independent and objective assurance and advisory services to help achieve the organization's business objectives, mitigate risk, ensure adequate controls and improve operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, design, and execute IT audit plans and programs using a risk-based approach

• Conduct IT audits, risk assessments, process reviews throughout the Group in order to independently assess the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls as well as compliance with Group Policy.

• Conduct the audit in an integrated system environment such as SAP ByDesign, SAP ECC, Microsoft Dynamics.

• Assess the IT-related Internal Control System (ICS), including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas in systems or processes.

• Identify the root cause and audit findings; provide recommendations to management and improve the IT-related internal control environment and operational processes. Monitor that corrective action plans are developed and implemented.

• Prepare high quality audit reports and communicate the audit findings with various stakeholders

• Design and implement analytical tools and solutions for financial audit colleagues to apply - such as frameworks, data models, visualization and other analytical tools and applications in conjunction with our data scientists.

• Manage day-to-day project administrative work, including status updates, agendas, budget vs. actual time by audit area and by hour

• Balance project economics management with occurrence of unanticipated issues; demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing task.

• Build a good working relationship with IT management and personnel in order to resolve issues as they arise and identify needs.

• Comply with the Audit and Advisory Services Department Charter and Policy & Procedure Manual.

• Assist in the completion of special projects, investigations, documentation, testing, reporting and other requested project by the Head of the Department.

• Guide profit centers with the implementation of Group Policies and share the Best Practices.

• Learn and stay updated on the IT practices and the commodity industry.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of IT audit experience in the Big Four and/or in a multi-national company.

• Strong knowledge of IT practices, including applications and infrastructure, security and vulnerability assessments, change control, data centers, asset management, business continuity, data privacy, and IT risk assessment.

• Understanding of concepts related to information systems audit, information security, general IT controls, application controls and technology risks.

• Knowledge of COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and related Technology)

• Proficiency in MS Office application with advanced knowledge of Excel and Word. Data analysis and visualization tools (ACL, Qlik, Alteryx, Tableau) is a plus.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills.

• Good oral and written English required. Additional language skill is a plus.

• Ability to leverage technology to improve processes continuously.

• Ability to work independently and also as a member of a team.

• Flexibility to travel internationally once the current situation allows.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor/Master's Degree – Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, IT Risk Management, IT Governance, Business Administration or a related field.

• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is a plus.
