Purpose

At Penasquito Mine we are looking for a Dispatch Supervisor to work in our Mine operations team, with core responsibility for sustainably improve the performance of mining operations by supporting the Dispatch room and working closely with other departments and stakeholders to identify and fix best practices and opportunities in the different activities of the mining cycle.

This role will be responsible for managing continuous improvement initiatives for mine operations and ensuring that high value initiatives are effectively implemented. Additionally ,the Dispatch Supervisor will technically coach mine dispatchers to optimize the dispatch system and achieve maximum performance of the mining operation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing training, coaching, and mentoring to the Dispatchers and heavy equipment operators using the Fleet Management System and operator safety awareness tools
• Schedule, coordinate, and supervise technical upgrades and activities required to maintain or improve the Data Acquisition Systems and associated elements' functionality while assuring data integrity.
• Develop, review standard operating procedures that ensures work is carried out with consistency among team members and following industry best practices
• Quality control, ensuring that all work within the Dispatch area is carried out efficiently and consistently, adhering to site and corporate operating procedures and policies.
• Lead, generate, coordinate, and support initiatives (both internal and external) related to the data acquisition systems as "Site Champion" following the site and corporate guidelines while coordinating with the Operational Technology, Mining OSN, and Full Potential teams.
• Ensure Short Interval Control operating model is fully embedded in the operations and actions are taken in real time to improve overall cycle performance.
• Effectively communicate with management regarding production shortfalls and areas of opportunity based on available data.

Requirements

• Fluent in English preferable
• Experience in work execution, planning and resource management.

Experience

A minimum 5 years of mine operation, fleet management system and engineering experience preferably in a similar large tonnage gold operation scale.

Professional Education

• Engineering Degree in Mining , Systems or Industrial Engineering
• Knowledge using Microsoft office Suite, SQL Database, Reporting Tools, Power BI.
