Job Description

Electronics Technician, this person is assigned to help the development process for new Electrical subassemblies for power tools, supporting tasks such as HW validation/verification, prototype builds, and troubleshooting. He will be introduced as a resource to test and support changes on electrical assemblies.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

• Support electronics development projects
• Prototype/assemble/test electronic controls and circuit boards
• Perform thermal testing of electronic assemblies
• Graph and provide basic analysis of test data
• Document new test procedures; follow and report test plan results.
• Utilize available resources effectively
• Effectively communicate status of active programs
• Expected to utilize lab test equipment such as oscilloscope, power supply and electronic load to conduct testing.
• Troubleshoot and determine root cause analysis on electronic assemblies.
• Support test equipment development as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Education required:

• 2 year vocational-technical training degree or equivalent.

Work experience required:

• 5 years' experience in Electronics Technician or related position required (Includes any training)
• Must have experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly
• Must be able to read schematics and troubleshoot problems

Skills required:

• Data analysis and graphing test data experience a plus
• Understanding of power tools, motor drives, controllers, and general mechanical principles a plus
• Must have experience with surface mount soldering, electronics prototyping, and basic failure analysis
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel spreadsheets
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to self-delegate tasks from several Engineers
