Job Description
Electronics Technician, this person is assigned to help the development process for new Electrical subassemblies for power tools, supporting tasks such as HW validation/verification, prototype builds, and troubleshooting. He will be introduced as a resource to test and support changes on electrical assemblies.

Electronics Technician, this person is assigned to help the development process for new Electrical subassemblies for power tools, supporting tasks such as HW validation/verification, prototype builds, and troubleshooting. He will be introduced as a resource to test and support changes on electrical assemblies.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Support electronics development projects
- Prototype/assemble/test electronic controls and circuit boards
- Perform thermal testing of electronic assemblies
- Graph and provide basic analysis of test data
- Document new test procedures; follow and report test plan results.
- Utilize available resources effectively
- Effectively communicate status of active programs
- Expected to utilize lab test equipment such as oscilloscope, power supply and electronic load to conduct testing.
- Troubleshoot and determine root cause analysis on electronic assemblies.
- Support test equipment development as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Education required:
- 2 year vocational-technical training degree or equivalent.
Work experience required:
- 5 years' experience in Electronics Technician or related position required (Includes any training)
- Must have experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly
- Must be able to read schematics and troubleshoot problems
Skills required:
- Data analysis and graphing test data experience a plus
- Understanding of power tools, motor drives, controllers, and general mechanical principles a plus
- Must have experience with surface mount soldering, electronics prototyping, and basic failure analysis
- Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel spreadsheets
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to self-delegate tasks from several Engineers
