Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
• Lead and inspire the accounting shared services team in a matrix structure, promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Foster effective communication and coordination with other departmental managers to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
2. Process Optimization:
• Oversee the optimization of accounting processes within the shared services function, considering the needs and requirements of various departments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
• Help develop a standard operating procedure handbook with standardization in mind.
3. Financial Reporting:
• Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports, collaborating with other departments to gather relevant data.
• Work closely with business partners to understand their financial reporting needs and provide valuable insights.
• Review and Coordinate Interco billing to all ledgers and allocations
• Review and sign off on Bank reconciliations, along with being one of the POC with the local bank.
• Collaborating with ADP as the main point of contact for Payroll (Payroll Admin)
4. Customer Service:
• Act as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries, and ensuring that shared services meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Collaborate with other departmental managers to understand their needs and expectations, incorporating feedback into service delivery. Monitor shared services center performance against SLAs and negotiate agreements that align with the requirements for each pillar with multiple stakeholders,
5. Matrix Leadership and Relationship Management:
• Navigate the matrix organization structure by building strong relationships with leaders from different functional areas.
• Collaborate with other managers and directors to seamlessly integrate shared services with various business units.
6. SSC Budget and Ledger Oversight:
• Work closely with the Director of Shared Services to develop and manage the shared services budget, considering the financial needs of various business units.
• Monitor budget performance, address variances, and collaborate with other managers to optimize financial resources.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Proven experience in managing accounting shared services or a similar financial services function.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate a matrix organization effectively.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficient in the use of accounting software and financial systems.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
