Requisitos del puesto

• Estudios universitarios completos en Ingeniería en Mecatrónica.
• Experiencia previa en Ingeniería de planta.
• Conocimientos avanzados en inglés, mecatrónica y electrónica.
• Conocimientos intermedios en hidráulica.

Responsabilidades del puesto

• Diseñar y supervisar procesos de fabricación en la planta.
• Realizar el mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo de equipos mecatrónicos.
• Colaborar con otros departamentos para asegurar la eficiencia en la producción.
• Implementar mejoras continuas en los sistemas de producción.

Company Summary: Drexel is a ISO Certified , 60-year-old company that specializes in the manufacturing of diesel injection fuel systems. The company is going through an extensive ramp up. We are looking for a motivated innovative individual , that wants to join a team that believes in operational excellence , takes pride of their workmanship and the products they produce.

Position Summary:

The Mechatronics Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, improve productivity and consistency of the products produced. This professional combine knowledge of mechanics, electronics, hydraulics, and controls to provide integrated solutions that meet goals of the department.

Main responsibilities:

1. Study existing procedures :

ü Document in detail all existing procedures.

ü Review document trail of any data capture.

ü Propose changes to the existing procedures, with a goal of improved accuracy, productivity.

o New design of fixtures

o Drafting out blueprints, identifying suppliers

o Design simple test apparatus for various verification steps

o ROI calculations.

2. Implementation:

ü Provide training to changes or improvements made to the existing processes

ü Update procedure documents

3. Maintenance and Improvement:

ü Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of process and equipment.

4. Analysis and Troubleshooting:

ü Diagnose failures in processes and provide effective solutions.

ü Perform tests and simulations to guarantee the correct operation of the systems.

5. Collaboration and Management:

o Work in multidisciplinary teams to develop projects.

o Manage technical documentation and prepare detailed reports on the progress of projects.

Requirements:

Education:

- Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or related field.

Experience:

- 7 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining mechatronic or automated systems.

Technical Skills:

- CAD design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other).

Technical knowledge:

- CAD design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or others).

- PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.).

- Controllers and microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.).

- Knowledge of robotics, machine vision and systems.

- Safety and quality standards in industrial processes.
