The Opportunity
This role will be responsible to develop and deploy the LatAm manufacturing strategy promoted by the use of Data generated in multiples softwares available in the ops ecosystem (MES / Predictive Maintenance / Digital Quality and Utilities / Kronos / etc). The Mfg Data & VCR Sr Expert will own the entire process for data projects executed between Ops and IT in order to enable next gen data capabilities such as: Artificial Intelligence - Machine Learning, Predictive and Prescriptive and Data Mining, also will develop the complete visual interfaces needed to provide insight to the locals sites and business units in order to manage business continuity and drive productivity.

Responsibilities
Your Impact
As Data Scientist would consist of:
- Develop and deploy manufacturing data strategy for operations in order to drive productivity through Virtual Control Room insight.
- Generate OT/IT data readiness platform for digital projects through systems interconnectivity.
- Lead Ops Data projects implementation from Controls & Information Systems perspective in order to guarantee standards in place.
- Deploy manufacturing data strategy for AI (artificial Intelligence) in partnership with Global CTO team.
- Deliver productivity in accordance with benefit analysis to improve the performance of mfg sites based on the Data and Virtual control Room capabilities.
- Partner with Ops, Engineering and IT team defining site capex required considering software licensing, hardware and services needed for new investments related to VCR Projects.
- Responsible to develop and deploy deploy sustain model for projects with AI (artificial Intelligence) and Data Minning in manufacturing.
- Own projects timeline to give visibility to Sr. Management in LATAM sector. Key point of contact for information requested.
- Develop and deploy dashboards in order to provide visibility to the ops according to business priorities
- Lead and support MAKE LATAM C&IS digital strategy from a linear and reactive supply chain to a connected and responsive value chain:
- Set overall C&IS Operational Data transformation strategy for PepsiCo supply chain
- Support C&IS - MFG 4.0 pilots in partnership with sector supply chain and global horizontal teams.
- Accelerate the regional C&IS-DVC Agenda, setting the technology foundations to SC Operations and IT technologies for the factory to optimize the full manufacturing automation for high efficiencies.
- Integrate transformation agenda into the sector SFE and AOP.
- Develop and deploy OT/IT data strategy based on data readiness needed for AI (Artificial Intelligence) projects.
- Identify opportunities for improve efficiency through the use of control and information systems.
- Develop standard procedures according with the best practise / Commissioning / Testing and replication.
- Translate opportunities into specific project deliverables, aligning internal and external technical resources to the priorities and resource requirements.
- Assess and measure the impact and benefits realization of local projects.
- Build capability into the site structures to support the control and information systems.
- Collecting of information, analyzing of (control) issues, locating of complex failures and failure causes.
- Submitting of proposals aimed at improving existing control systems and/or the expansion of process management systems.
- Testing and adjusting of modified and new installations and submitting these to a trial run.
Qualifications

Experience
Hard Skills:
- First Degree in Engineering (Industrial/Electrical/Mechanical preferred). Specialization in *data management* is a plus.
- Ability to develop winning strategies/plans, understand functional interfaces, aligns team for action against key priorities.
- Experiencie leading and managing teams in Maintenance and Manufacturing at least +4yrs.
- Experience required: a proven track record in developing/implementing control and information systems in a manufacturing environment, demonstrable broad awareness and understanding of OT and IT technology, at least 4 years background in major, multi-discipline project management, and a strong understanding of at least two key functional areas of the business.
- Key skills include project/service management, effective communication and selling, negotiation and influencing skills at all levels within the business and demonstrated thought leadership.
- In depth knowledge of process factors impacting True efficiency for the lines in order to address main opportunities for the region.
- English (Advanced/Fluent), Spanish (Fluent / native), Portuguese (Desirable)
- In-depth understanding and application of business knowledge across the broader business environment, as well as understanding of supply chain constraints and operational optimization.
- Must be willing to travel (Frequently 25% of time)
Functional knowledge
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of:
- MSSQL Server database design and SQL programming
- Python programming for next gen capabilities (ML/AI)
- PowerBi / Tableau for Data analytics / Celonis
- SCADA systems and Historians - Wonderware InTouch
- PLC systems - Rockwell
- IIOT - Industrial Internet of Things
- OT and IT Network infrastructures
- Technology Expertise: Cisco / SDWAN, Cloud Computing: Azure and/or AWS, Network Routing Protocols, and NextGen Architecture
- Wide-ranging knowledge of manufacturing software systems, processes and applications.
Soft Skills
- Developed personal leadership. This role will interact with several stakeholders / functions (Leadership it's a must to success in the role)
- Developed Analytical Skills: Capable of perform complex technical cause-effect / Trade Off analysis to develop and deliver integral improvement plans.
