VLS Packaging Specialist
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3, preferably in the automotive or industrial sectors.
· Knowledge of packaging materials, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and packaging design software.
Tasks (Description of main tasks):
· Coordination of current and new VLS packaging including individual branded boxes, internal frames, any type of protection (rust, temperature, etc.) in the Americas 3 sub-regions
· Creation and implementation of VLS packaging strategies that covers the 3 Americas sub-regions in order to optimize and simplify packaging concepts
· Develop and implement standards and specifications for new packaging solutions
· Collaborate with Product Management, Operations teams to ensure packaging meets all technical aspects in terms of construction and design
· Liaise with marketing and branding teams to ensure packaging aligns with brand guidelines and market needs
· Ensure compliance with packaging and labeling processes in accordance with existing systems and regulations of each sub-region
· Develop business cases for localization of best production sources for new developments considering cost of materials, handling, storage and tools
· Support in defining and optimizing packaging for new and existing items
· Together with Quality area, perform regular audits / inspections to ensure compliance with packaging standards. Also maintain quality procedures for packaging materials
· Address and resolve any packaging-related issues in a timely manner.
· Lead initiatives to improve packaging sustainability
· Analyze feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in packaging solutions.
· Maintain records of packaging specifications, test results, blueprints, and master data
· Ensure all packaging documentation complies with industry standards and company policies
