About the role
We are seeking a results-driven Sourcing Project Manager to lead the execution of strategic procurement and productivity initiatives across our manufacturing footprint in Mexico and the United States. This newly created role will serve as a key liaison between corporate and plant operations, driving cost savings, supplier optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sourcing Project Manager , you'll be responsible for:
- Leading multiple procurement and sourcing projects focused on cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Implementing sourcing strategies to achieve price productivity targets across the Americas region.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams (commodities, engineering, operations, finance, quality, and field teams) to ensure successful project execution.
- Supporting commodity teams in defining project charters, expected benefits, and resource requirements.
- Monitoring project progress, resolving roadblocks, and escalating issues as needed.
- Managing project documentation including schedules, business cases, and risk assessments.
- Delivering executive-level presentations for project approvals and monthly updates.
- Identifying performance gaps and supporting corrective actions to exceed targets.
- Contributing to the Annual Operating Plan for productivity initiatives.
- Leading supplier rationalization efforts in alignment with sourcing strategies.
Requirements
We are looking for people who are proactive, collaborative, and execution-focused. If this is you, get in touch.
As a minimum you must have:
- Bachelor's degree completed.
- 8 - 10 years of managerial experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Chain.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Demonstrated success in implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
- Experience with SAP.
- Familiarity with Power BI.
- PMO certification or experience.
- Experience working with U.S. and Mexico-based manufacturing plants.
- Availability to travel up to 10% (valid U.S. visa required).
