What will you do?
We are seeking a highly qualified Web Servers and Database Administrator to join our team. This role is essential to ensure the efficient operation of our web services and effective management of critical data. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in web server administration, database management, the use of GitHub, and have a minimum level of English proficiency at B2. Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) would be a plus.
Responsibilities:
• Configure, manage, and maintain web servers in Windows environments, with a particular focus on Internet Information Services (IIS).
• Manage both relational and NoSQL databases, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Implement and uphold best practices for security in servers and databases to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with development teams in version control management and collaboration using GitHub.
• Perform monitoring, diagnosis, and troubleshooting tasks to ensure optimal availability and performance of web services.
• Maintain accurate and detailed technical documentation.
• Continuously enhance and improve infrastructure, including task automation where feasible.
• Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure consistency and efficient workflow.
• Manage cloud resources using Amazon Web Services (AWS), including application deployment and monitoring in the cloud (this is an additional skill).
What will you need to succeed?
• Demonstrable experience in web server administration, with a focus on IIS.
• Strong knowledge in database administration, including relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience using GitHub for version control and collaboration in development projects.
• Minimum B2 level of English proficiency for effective communication in a professional environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
• Relevant certifications from Microsoft, AWS, or others would be a plus (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
