ChildFund has implemented the Camino Protegido humanitarian project since 2020 to provide support and protection to migrant children, adolescents, and families in Mexico. It currently focuses on reducing the gap in health services and protecting the population in transit, asylum seekers, refugees, and vulnerable members of host communities, primarily in Chiapas and other locations in southeastern Mexico.

About This RoleThe Field Project Manager will oversee day-to-day implementation of the project at the field level. Reporting to the Sr. Advisor, this role will ensure high-quality, timely delivery of project activities and effective coordination with partners, staff, and stakeholders.
Required Experience and EducationQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Coordinate with partners and staff to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of services.
Support multidisciplinary teams in the field, ensuring alignment with project work plans and donor commitments.
Implement Accountability for Affected Population (AAP) tools and safeguard policies at the field level.
Contribute to the development of internal and external project reports, ensuring accurate and timely submissions to the Sr. Advisor.
Ensure continuous capacity building of local staff and partners to enhance service delivery.
Participate in the identification of potential partners and contribute to the stakeholder analysis process.
Ensure the field team follows financial procedures and maintains budget accountability.
Act as the point of contact for field-level inquiries and coordination efforts.
Ensure inclusive access to services across all intervention areas, focusing on marginalized and hard-to-reach populations.

Required Experience and EducationQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of five years of experience as a manager directly implementing large complex projects, preferably in the field of human moblity
- Experience in grants administration/management of projects funded by foreign government aid agencies, and/ or multilateral institutions.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain working relationships with staff at multiple levels.
- Working knowledge of budgeting and project management, monitoring and evaluation processes.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and to initiate follow-through with meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with the regional context of irregular migration, including extensive knowledge of child protection and violence prevention.
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Social Science or related field, Master's degree preferred.
- Significant experience in successful proposal development
- Relevant work experience in migration issues and child protection in humanitarian context in Mexico.
- Relevant experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective communicator and collaborator and able to work with varied audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and output oriented
- Proficient Spanish and English language skills are required for this position
