Descripción
Our Customer is a Tier 1 company with global presence and is leading supplier in automotive parts for mobility and electrification and controls.
They are looking for his seasoned UAP Manager for their plant located in Coahuila.
The UAP Manager is the main responsible to achieve the production plan, implement the continuous inspection process, testing, analysis and solving problem to guarantee that the quality standards exceed the customer requirements.
Develop and lead continuous improvement projects, which have significant impacts on the process quality and final product through the technology introduction an innovative method.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the integrity, performance and improvement of our manufacturing system is maintained when changes to the management system are planned and implemented
- Ensure conformance to the requirements of the International Standards
- Ensure that the processes are delivering their intended outputs
- Promote customer focus throughout the organization
- Ensure that customer requirements are met e.g. Corrective and preventive actions, Product design and development
- Ensure that resource budget for all programs is maintained / optimized
- Overall responsibility for the successful implementation of Autonomous Maintenance within the assigned area.
- Ensure that all planned maintenance and cleaning activities are carried out regularly and properly.
- Establish a system for early detection and reporting of equipment deterioration or damage.
- Assure production plans and the feasibility of the production plans.
- Meet established customer specifications concerning quality, cost, cycle time, quantity and delivery.
- Prepare (manufacturing) input for the business unit budget and maintain the budget.
- Manage the Business Unit Team: Assure appropriate staffing, maintain working environment according to Group health, safety and environment (EHS) standards, analyze and advise training needs, share information, participate in succession planning for all management roles, etc.
- Ensure daily Business Unit Top 5 meeting is effective and adding value.
- Validate preventative and corrective measures raised in the QRCI process in the production process to assure that customer requirements are properly met.
- Implement action plans in order to improve functionality/ productivity and to obtain program and Group EBIT & CMII objectives; make necessary corrective adjustments.
- Participate in the creation of production system efficiency projects e.g. engineering workshops, CIP programs etc.
- Responsible for labor resource planning.
- Complete LPA process for his/her role and validate supervisor LPAs (applicable to plant where already implemented)
- Integrate Autonomous Maintenance (TPM) into strategic production planning.
- Provide necessary resources (e.g., personnel, training, time slots) for the execution of TPM activities.
- Monitor compliance with and effectiveness of Level 1 cleaning and maintenance routines.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in equipment care and monitoring.
- Develop Hoshin workshop, SMED and scrap management.
- Administration and negotiation with customers (automotive customers)
- Other tasks as may be required.
Personal Skills:
Educational background:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or related)
Work experience:
- 7 years+ working relevant experience (performing Supervisor roles)
- 5 years+ automotive expertise as UAP Manager/ is a plus
- Expertise in setting up manufacturing process or procedures
Professional knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of international standards for automotive industry IATF, advanced problem solving methodologies ( Red X, 6 Sigma)
- Professional knowledge of Customer specific requirements (BIQ, MSA-Q1, CQI-9, VDA 6.3)
- Proven experience in Negotiations with customers
- Proven experience in Welding (MAG, MIG) process.
- Professional knowledge of SAP knowledge.
- Professional knowledge of MS-Office applications (Word, Power Point, especially Excel)
