• Technically lead quality assurance effort of enterprise-wide software systems
• Liaise with software manager, product owner, software architect, development lead, and both internal and external software development teams, to develop and deliver fit for purpose enterprise-wide solutions in a timely manner
• Participate in full testing life cycle, including requirements validation, test planning, test case identification and development, development of test automation framework, functional testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing
• Define test objectives, write, and execute test cases and test scenarios to ensure that software products meet design specifications and ensure consistency, completeness, accuracy, and testability of product requirements. Collaborate with team to formulate testing scenarios and facilitate testing.
• Work as part of an Agile team to ensure a successful product delivery and suggest and negotiate product testability enhancements. Ensure traceability from business requirements and technical specifications to test conditions and problem reports.
• Keep management informed of potential issues and suggested actions that affect the systems, applications, and operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (including subject matter experts, integration management, testers, product managers, discipline managers, and product owners) to formulate testing scenarios and facilitate testing.
• Track defects, making sure that all are closed before final delivery. Report software issues and bugs to a reporting system for review.
• Take initiative to identify issues and work collaboratively across teams to resolve problems
• Identify and communicate opportunities and solutions for development and release process automation and quality improvement; implement the automation as necessary
• Provide feedback to manager and/or development team regarding ways to improve test processes and development performance.
• Interface with end users and/or project team to determine new and modified functionality of existing application.
• Work closely with developers in debugging and fixing defects.
• Assist in project schedule planning, reporting of project progress, and coordinating UAT activities
• Assist technical documentation group to define work instructions and field operations procedures
• Provide or assist with second-level or emergency technical support as needed
• Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job
• Provide technical assistance in root cause analysis, and technical and operational support to testers and end-users.
• Demonstrate software to internal and external users

Experiencia

Essential

• Bachelor's degree - Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 7+ years' hands on experience in Software QA Test with focus on web applications
• Solid experience in effectively designing and executing software test plans and test cases
• Solid experience in writing test-related documentation such as test plans and strategies derived from requirements and test reports
• Experience in specifying Quality Release Criteria for releases and reporting of the same
• Good operational experience in Agile Scrum software development methodology
• 3+ years' experience in developing Selenium tests for web applications
• 2+ years' experience in testing cloud applications (Azure, AWS, etc.)
• 2+ years' experience in system integration testing
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster teamwork
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong time and scope estimation skills
• Detail and results oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong creativity, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.)

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Preferred

• Experience in manual and automation testing of software applications developed on Mendix Low-Code platform (other Low-Code platforms also acceptable: Appian, Outsystems, etc.)
• Experience in manual and automation testing mobile software applications on iOS and Android
• Experience in testing of products and software for Oil & Gas Industry
• Experience in testing enterprise systems which integrate with other business systems

• Experience testing software within the Oilfield Services industry, particularly upstream
• Knowledge of any of Well Construction, Cementing, Completions, or Intervention Services
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams

• Experience developing tests in high level programming languages or scripting languages
• Experience in taking ownership of software projects and successfully delivering results in dynamic and complex environments
